PTSD isn't limited to combat veterans. It can affect anyone who has experienced or witnessed a traumatic event, including service members, veterans, military families, and civilians.
According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, PTSD affects about 3.5% of U.S. adults each year—roughly 8 million Americans. Of those diagnosed, approximately 37% experience severe symptoms.

The documentary tells the story of Angela Madsen, a Marine Corps veteran, 3x Paralympian, 14-time Guinness World Record holder, and pioneering ocean rower whose determination inspired countless people around the world.

The release comes at a significant moment. This week marks six years since Angela's passing. Today she is being inducted into the Paralympic Hall of Fame, and on July 8, she will be inducted into the Marine Corps Hall of Fame.

An active-duty Navy petty officer received humanitarian reassignment orders after a family medical crisis. The move came with financial strain.

With increased care needs and the loss of a primary caregiver, the family fell behind on housing expenses.

Through @NavyFederal, @NMCRS1 provided $2K to cover overdue rent, helping stabilize the family.

Support like this creates breathing room when it’s needed most.
