@therealmissjo@FionaDavis8 To make matters worse, there isn’t much chance of getting help at a rape crisis center that doesn’t permit men in the facilities, either.
Stephen Ireland, who targeted me with endless abuse on here because I oppose the chemical castration of children and the removal of protected spaces for women and girls, has just been sentenced to 30 years in jail for child rape.
@preta_6 Your head is not the problem. It’s your refusal to be indoctrinated and to perpetuate a lie that got you fired. That makes you honest and ethical.
A few weeks ago, the company I work for issued compulsory "training", including statements such as:
“Remember, if Cathi is trans, saying ‘she used to be a man’ isn't accurate. Trans women are women, and they've never not been a woman”.
I shit you not.
So I've waited till today, when the company hosts one of its quarterly meetings with all the top brass across several sites, in person and online, to read out a statement on exactly what I thought of this “training”.
I made reference to the precedent set when @MForstater won her appeal in June 2021, and levelled an accusation to the entire company that they are indirectly, and possibly directly, discriminating against all its employees under the protected characteristic of their freedom of belief.
You could have heard a pin drop. At first.
The result?
HR is now bricking it. The training is no longer compulsory. They're taking matters under review, and I've had so many hugs and messages off support from my female colleagues. My boss shook my hand.
It isn't easy speaking up. I've been very nervous till today. But as @ThePosieParker keeps telling me: if not me, then who? If not now, then when?
I think it was important that someone saw a gay man stand up and defend the women he works with, and send a message that this absurd nonsense has no place being forced upon us.
I've sure I've made plenty of enemies at work today and pissed numerous people off.
And I'm glad. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat because it's simply the right thing to do.
For me to be gay requires nothing from you. I don't need you to tell me every day that I'm gay. I don't need to take medication to help me to maintain being gay. I don't need other people to refer to me using prescribed language. I require no surgery nor access to particular spaces. I require no laws to recognise that I'm gay. I could spend my entire life in a windowless room entirely on my own and be gay till the day I die.
Don't tell me that being LGB is anything like being TQ+, and don't force team one with the other.
We are not the same.
🧵I posted this thread yesterday about men’s rights activists TRAs efforts to stifle women from defending their rights. It was successfully targeted for restriction as “hate speech” via mass report by TRAs. How Ironic.
SO HERE IT IS AGAIN with EXTRA CONTENT. An educational thread detailing the negative impacts of trans ideology on women and children.
🧵 1. Censorship of truthful language deemed “bigoted”
@theneonrequiem It is not the fault or the responsibility of incarcerated women to fix this problem. Why should they have to deal with men so that the men don’t have to?
Quite something to watch people who were keen to hitch their wagons to #MeToo a few years ago defend this kind of thing, isn't it?
Then: 'male sexual predation is far more widespread than society admits!'
Now: 'of course strange men should be able to shower with little girls.'
Dear John Oliver,
If sex doesn’t matter in sports, please direct me to the lengthy list of women on the starting lineup of any NFL, NBA, MLB, or NHL team.
Explain why it is that we need a women’s soccer division at all.
Remember when Megan Rapinoe’s world championship team lost to a group of high school boys? Why do you think this might be?
Why didn’t Katie Ledecky swim in the same 400IM heats as Michael Phelps?
How would Flo Jo have fared against Ussain Bolt?
Don’t be daft. You’re not this stupid. Identities don’t play sports; bodies play sports, and male bodies have physiological advantages.
You’re peddling misogyny, not progress. #SaveWomensSports
A question for any trans/ally): If women have an interest in not having males (however they identify) in their private spaces and TIMs have an interest in not having other males in their private spaces, what is the reasoning that allows women's interests to be given less weight?
Much as I think Kamala Harris was a poor candidate who ran a bad campaign, I think the result would have been much the same no matter who the candidate was.
The people who lost this election for the Democratic base were... the Democratic base. Even though I am nine times canceled, I still had literally dozens of social media and in person interactions with Democrats in which I suggested that I was leaning towards Harris but undecided, including one with a waiter whom I had yet to tip.
And the response nearly every time was to berate, insult and belittle me, to suggest that I was a stupid person of low character who might not even deserve electoral franchise if I were not already in the tank for Harris. I bet tens of millions of such interactions unfolded throughout the campaign, in which undecided voters were chased off by the censorious culture of the American Left.
Until the Democrats at a grassroots level abandon this "beatings will continue until morale improves" approach. People won't so much keep voting GOP as voting "well fuck you, then, Dems."
@stuartlosaltos No one should have the right to publicly identify my ballot as having been spoiled. This is anathema to a privately cast vote. It “outs” my vote.
@mart_brooks@DreyfusJames It’s not a question of whether or not they were murdered. It’s a question of who did it and whether there is enough evidence to convict. We don’t need a court’s decision to formulate reality.
What’s everyone’s most bizarre personal encounter with gender ideology?
For me, it has to be the time I got kicked out of a lesbian bar for protecting myself when a “transwoman” I’d already turned down twice followed me into the bathroom to try again, and put his hands on me.
If he’d actually been a woman, the knee I planted in his crotch wouldn’t have been nearly as effective. 🤷♀️
I left him writhing on the bathroom floor and went back to my table, only to have both bartender and manager come by about ten minutes later to order me to leave. They didn’t seem to care that I’d been followed into the restroom, or that the “transwoman” had grabbed me by the arm.
The bartender actually told me that “even if” I had been grabbed, it was transphobic to respond with a knee to the balls, because it meant that I was “making bigoted assumptions about a trans person’s genitals” — thus proving yet again that real life is far more bizarre than fiction could ever dream of being.

This is Melani Bergés Gámez. She is 90% blind. When she runs she runs tethered to a guide. Melani is a primary school teacher in Madrid.
Melani did not get to go to the Paralympics because a man who says he is a woman took her place.
We speak for Melani. 1/
