The Trump administration has a new approach to clear a key hurdle standing in the way of his 250-foot arch: break the law and ignore it.

The Section 106 review is a months-long process where historic preservationists and independent experts provide input to ensure projects like the "Arc de Trump" don't damage historic sites. It's a real hurdle for any large project, so rather than clear it, the Trump administration is walking away after just two review meetings. Veterans are already suing to stop its construction, and after this move, more lawsuits are likely to follow.
