Anyone else having this issue? You know, when I last had my passport renewed 6 years ago, it was hard (harder than when I renewed it 6 years before that). I'm from the Republic of the Pila Islands, my tolerance for queues is very high. But this is painfully impossible.
Allow me a rant about how tech-focused "solutions" don't really help anyone IF the process is faulty from the start. My case study for the day is the DFA Passport Appointment system (which, I believe I called a joke a few days ago).
I'm still getting an Error 520 from different pages on the DFA site. Sometimes it's before entry to the front page, sometimes when I click on which DFA site I want to set an appointment with, sometimes when I click on a date to set my appointment.
Things that are impossible to do in this country:
Register to vote. Like really, people line up overnight in malls in order to exercise their right to vote.
Renew a passport. The DFA website is a joke. All other websites are embarrassed to that it calls itself a website.
It's so weird, that even after all these years, some white men still behave as if as I need "a reminder" to approach my training in a holistic way. Shaking my damn head so much that I'm getting vertigo. WTF.
"Customer service" where they give you a scripted response to every question is a joke. It's like beating your head against a wall that only says, "Sorry for the inconvenience. You just have to keep waiting. But would you like to rate my service right now?"
Received this over email today. The the 5th grant cycle of International Trans Fund (ITF) is now open. Deadline for applications on 4 December. Open to trans-led organisations.
