We are deeply disappointed that Gov. Newsom has vetoed #AB1383 despite strong bipartisan support.

Thank you to every legislator, labor partner, & firefighter who stood with us. We will keep fighting for retirement security. We will keep standing together.

We are grateful to the Plumas County Board of Supervisors for their unanimous support of #AB1383. We hope to see this same support from the Governor soon.

AB 1383 is a responsible approach for an urgently needed step to support retirement security for firefighters. This bill helps firefighters reduce their exposures to toxic chemicals and have a better chance at a safer retirement. We need the governor to sign #AB1383.
