Whilst we can't take away the pain of bereavement, with appropriate support and information children & young people can be helped to understand what has happened and gradually encouraged to rebuild their lives and have hope for the future. Thank you @CBNtweets for running #CGAW24
#BuildingHope for bereaved children, young people, and their families is so very important. No young person should be left alone to deal with grief and I’m proud to support Children’s grief awareness week to help make it so. @cbukhelp
This Children's Grief Awareness Week, especially today on Children's Grief Awareness Day, we have been sharing songs to help support children through the tough times of life.

Younger bereaved children may not understand the finality of death. So use factual words like died or dead rather than confuse them with euphemisms like ‘gone’ or 'passed away'. This gives them clarity, which supports acceptance, which brings healing. #CGAW24#buildinghope#grief
So important to get children's grief right - only way is through it not around it or over it (hat tip @MichaelRosenYes 🎩). @sibling_support do remarkable work and are marking Children's Grief Awareness Week #CGAW24
#ChildrensGriefAwarenessWeek is all about helping children who have been or are currently experiencing feelings of grief and bereavement, and offering support in navigating these complex emotions.
As always, 2wish are here if you would like to talk 💙

Children are resilient, and although a grieving child will experience some tough emotions, it's important not to underestimate their ability to thrive. Give them opportunities to achieve, to excel, to do amazing things. Let them outgrow their grief.
