I just met with local stakeholders—including sheriffs, county judges, and representatives of federal and state elected officials—to discuss border security projects in Big Bend National Park. It was a productive conversation, and I committed to a pause so those conversations can continue. Tomorrow I will be down in the park to compare some of their suggestions to our previous plans.
CBP is pausing all construction activity in Big Bend National Park while I visit and conduct a personal, on-the-ground evaluation.
CBP is firmly committed to protecting America, and that includes our national treasures like Big Bend National Park (BBNP). We know the current and predictable national security threats and they are real. Now over the next couple of days, I will join a small team to evaluate the terrain and listen to local leadership, community members and stakeholders to ensure that we secure our borders while simultaneously protecting BBNP for generations to come.

The days of waiting for threats to come to us are over.
On Thursday in El Paso, U.S. and Mexican forces trained together to respond fast and hit threats from both sides of the border. The Juárez Cartel- now designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization has been put on alert. We’re ready.
We ain’t skrewwin’ around 🪱
Today, RGV hosted USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins and Commissioner Rodney Scott to discuss CBPUSDA efforts to combat the New World Screwworm.
From smuggling to biological threats, RGV remains on the frontline detecting, intercepting & protecting.

LIVE: @SecRollins is convening federal, state, and local partners to review:
• Current NWS cases
• Surveillance and sterile fly releases
• Southern livestock port reopening plans
• Illicit livestock movements
• Expanded USDA–DHS coordination
The whole-of-government response continues.
I joined other CBP leaders in TX to show Secretary Mullin how our agents are securing the border.
The border is the most secure it's ever been in US history. But that doesn't mean we let our guard down.
And smugglers, here's a free tip: if you think the brush is empty, think again.
National security doesn’t begin at the border—it begins long before anyone reaches it.
Through intelligence, international partnerships, and coordinated operations across the air, sea, and land domains, CBP stops threats before they ever reach America’s communities.
Every interdiction. Every inspection. Every mission. One purpose: protecting the homeland
Yesterday, I was at the border with @CBPCommissioner and some of our Border Patrol agents.
Thanks to these heroes and the strong leadership of @POTUS Trump, we have:
✅The MOST SECURE border in history
✅15 straight months of ZERO illegal aliens released into our nation
✅HISTORICALLY LOW illegal crossings
We will continue delivering on the American People’s MANDATE to keep our homeland safe and our border secure.
Smugglers are part of foreign terrorist organizations- pay any of them to smuggle you, anyone or anything into the U.S. and you will be prosecuted for supporting terrorism! Think about it! America First!
237 years ago, the U.S. Customs Service was established and served as the framework for customs as we know it. Although our post-9/11 mission has evolved, our historical responsibilities of collecting tariff revenue, protecting the U.S. economy from smuggling and illegal goods, and processing people and goods at ports of entry continue.
As America marks its 250th anniversary, we're reminded that the story of our nation has always included the men and women who protect it—and that CBP's legacy has been part of that story since 1789.
Leadership isn’t complicated. Take care of your people, and they’ll take care of the mission. Chief Vasquez has always understood that. It’s one of the reasons the U.S. Border Patrol is in good hands.
This is what happens when a government loses control of its border.
@POTUS gave CBP the mission and the authority to restore order. We did.
With @POTUS and @SecMullinDHS backing our agents, you won’t see this kind of chaos at America’s border.

🇪🇸 Spanish border guards were powerless today and completely overwhelmed when thousands of illegal migrants stormed the border today.
Sánchez’s government betrayed them by refusing help and left them alone against a huge crowd that act with complete impunity.
Yesterday, I joined @CBP and @CBPCommissioner for a fireside chat with CBP’s senior leaders at the Advanced Training Center in Harpers Ferry.
This is where the next generation of CBP leaders is forged—training more than 8,000 students this fiscal year to protect our homeland.
The results speak for themselves:
➡️14 straight months of zero releases at the border, the most secure border in our nation’s history
➡️42% increase in fentanyl seizures from May to June alone
➡️ Southwest border apprehensions are DOWN 94% since President Trump took office
The men and women of CBP are delivering on @POTUS Trump’s mission every single day.
Different border. Same mission. We met with frontline personnel and partners across the northern border to strengthen the capabilities that keep our nation secure. Together, we protect all of America’s borders.
Last week, I toured our northern border operations in Massena, NY, by land, air and water. Border security requires a total approach, and our operators in New York demonstrate that.
The most secure border in American history has smugglers scrambling for new ways to move people—including through rideshare apps. Knowingly help them and we will help you trade your five-star rating for five years in prison.
#America250: Most Americans celebrated with fun and fireworks.
US Border Patrol in Laredo celebrated by arresting two Benedict Arnolds who were harboring 33 illegal aliens, aka: foreign invaders.
Smuggling or helping illegal aliens enter America is a crime. A lot like being a traitor.
If you are in the country illegally, leave! And you can use the CBP Home app to record your self-deportation and earn $$.
