“Read to Achieve” is a proud community partner for the second year in the Juneteenth Children’s Literacy Village on June 18th at Mill Hill Park, Trenton NJ. The theme is “Trenton the city that reads". Children will receive 6 free books, art kits, lunch, & fun activities.
Students also listened to an overview of the August Camp, asked questions, and registered. One student committed, ”This is really cool. I love to make things and see them work.” Sixty students will be enrolled by Ms. Patricia M. Planter, our Summer Program Manager.
We welcomed @PBlairstown Summer Bridge STEAM Camp staff for a morning of interactive activities. The cafeteria was converted into a STEAM mall, where students could go from activity to activity observing and building STEAM projects.
We are excited about our partnership with the Mercer County Park, facilitating wonderful summer camp experiences for our students! Last summer, our sponsors made it possible for 8 students to attend Baldpate Nature Camp for free.
Student swim gear & incentives sponsored by Morrisville Presbreytian Church, the George H. & Estelle M. Sands Foundation, & Mrs. Susan Rhoda - Hansen.
SWIM to ROW-Girls Cohort, Level 2, off to a splash! Victoria Bush, CCFA’s volunteer chaperone shared, "On January 25th, when Trenton School opened after an extended Christmas Break, school closing due to the pandemic, CCFA’s SWIM to ROW Girls Cohort was eager to get back!"
Thank you to our community partners for making this incredible experience happen: @MercerCoParks, Capital Area YMCA, @HamiltonAreaY, & Princeton National Rowing Association.
A week of groceries for improvised families living in Trenton becomes their “star” expecting this blessing to carry them through. That is just what happened for 53 families on December 19th when Word Alive Center distributed the Christmas Family Food Baskets.
We are grateful for the incredible Family Food Baskets so generously donated by Morrisville Presbyterian Church for Christmas. Our current reality is that this pandemic challenges families living in poverty in ways that we cannot imagine.
One of our families of 5 children said, “these food bags, help us have something to eat, to make it to Christmas. Things are very very hard, I pray and know the good Lord Jesus will come through, we wait to get the call for the food!”
Ms. Victoria Bush volunteered as the lead parent chaperone, going with the girls to each session.
We also worked with this group of community partners in the 2020 school year to sponsor a group of 5 boys from Trenton in SWIM to ROW.
