Abed is cooking beats -- and surviving. Let's spread the word about his story and send support as Palestinian producers in Gaza work to build their own sound, even in the rubble.

Looks great, actually (seriously @jugendingenieur )
It's always special to buy instruments direct from their creators -- doubly so when it's @rogerlinndesign, and he writes back about what players are doing with his creations.
Recent gorgeous stuff from the player community, plus a 10% off sale.

Feeling anxious? Maybe you just need some birdsong.
Plus, thinking about instruments in relation to nature -- millennia ago and now. Required reading.

And don't forget I wrote a three-part guide to learning Max via those @Ableton objects, friendly to total beginners and compatible with Max for Live (so you don't need a full Max license to follow along -- even the trial will work)

Max 9.2 is here from @cycling74, and it's got some terrific improvements for visuals (especially video on Windows, including @vidvox's own HAP), JavaScript coders, and more. Plus some lovely new @Ableton ABL devices!

This is pretty cool: Sprout, a motherboard for old iPods that gives them features like Bluetooth, WiFi, AirPlay, apps and up to 2TB of microSD storage.
"Sprout Pi Mainboard is a new, replacement PCB for the iPod 3rd generation, 4th generation, and iPod mini. You open the iPod, lift out the original board, and drop Sprout in its place. The case, screen, and click wheel all stay, so it looks and feels the way it always did. But it now has Bluetooth for your AirPods, Wi-Fi, a hi-fi DAC, USB Type-C charging, and a microSD slot that holds up to 2 TB of music.
"Most iPod mods swap the hard drive for flash storage and fit a bigger battery. But you’re still stuck with wired headphones and iTunes. Sprout replaces the whole logic board and runs new software, written from scratch to behave like the original. It comes in two versions. Sprout Pico runs on a Raspberry Pi RP2350, turns on instantly, and plays your own music library and podcasts. Sprout Pi adds a Raspberry Pi Compute Module Zero, so it can also stream from Spotify and Apple Music, stream podcasts, and run apps."
