Celebrating #CEH Day 2022 at our local offices ⭐️ Stay tuned for photos of our entire dedicated team throughout the month with the 2022 #WestchesterNY County Proclamation. A special thanks to the tremendous partnership of the @WCYouthBureau and @NYSCHECK in commemorating this day
Successful partnerships for children’s environmental health have to be long-term and holistic. Because health outcomes can take time to show up, it is important to build relationships with families and follow-up to ensure children stay on track for a healthy future. #CEHchat
A6. Health equity must be central to work in children’s environmental health. We are proud to partner with @NNPHI_ORG & @NACHC to build new resources and action that can better support vulnerable communities. More on @Climate4Health partnerships: https://t.co/oQkLGWZnnV #CEHchat
#CEHchat Q4: What creative/nontraditional partnerships, alliances, & support have you seen continue & develop over the past year? Are there exciting recent projects/initiatives you've undertaken that were made possible by partnerships? Let’s celebrate & give them a shout-out!
Build bridges between leadership and community members! WE ACT regularly facilitates meetings where community members, including youth, can meet city officials, organization leaders, and elected officials to make their voices heard about environmental health issues. #CEHchat
City, state, and federal governments need to allocate more funding toward children’s environmental health, specifically in communities of color and low-income, to ensure we have the resources to work together and address environmental exposures in our communities. #CEHchat
The environmental justice movement is built on the principle of meaningful involvement for people of color and low-income in the decision making process, which can only happen when partnerships exist between community organizations and government agencies/officials. #CEHchat
#CEHchat Q9: What partnerships or collaborations are you looking forward to in the next year? What accomplishments from these partnerships do you hope we’re celebrating for #CEHday 2023?
Thanks to the support of @DeCiccoandSons and their customers, $40,000 was raised to benefit @MFCHatWMC! These funds will support our efforts to provide high quality healthcare to the more than 30,000 Hudson Valley children Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital cares for each year.
Big news! Our scientists will examine the relationship between the built environment, community spread, and the likelihood of transmission of COVID-19 within school settings. 👇 https://t.co/koXPSO7P1s
Excellent graphic- remember that children are especially vulnerable to the health impacts of #ClimateChange, even more so Black and Brown children, as well as children from families with low wealth.
Nominations for the 2022 NOW Youth Leadership Award are due tomorrow! Nominate outstanding youth in your community today, and honor their exceptional environmental health leadership.
