Russia is turning the Arctic into a fortress, a frontline, and a contested space. @MatBoulegue traces what a decade of war, sanctions, and melting sea ice has done to Moscow's position in a region it once dominated. https://t.co/shWEFlc6Jt
How can the transatlantic alliance build a future-capable, allied defense force?
The answer will depend on producing critical capabilities at scale, bringing emerging defense technologies into allied forces, and building a defense industrial base that works across the Atlantic. CEPA and Brzezinski Global Strategies took up those questions with Czech Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Jaromír Zůna, whose country’s defense industry has a growing role to play in strengthening the alliance.
Thank you to Minister Zůna, our colleagues at Brzezinski Global Strategies, and our guests for joining us.
Spheres of Influence Won’t Help the US | "Sacrificing small nations to please the world’s biggest countries is a dead end. The US in particular has much more to lose than to gain." CEPA https://t.co/nRExQrMpKj
Network Fees: A Misguided Idea | "Part 1: The European Union will reconsider imposing Network Fees on mostly American platforms. It's an ill-advised approach."

A real privilege to take part in this session on transatlantic ties featuring fmr Lithuanian President @Grybauskaite_LT German Bundestag member @RKiesewetter European Parliament member @AlexandrVondra-Also grateful for cooperation with @JakubKlepal and his @Forum_2000 colleagues
Russia’s shadow war is not one country’s problem, and it will not be solved by one country’s response.
Attacks on infrastructure, information, and democratic institutions now stretch from the Baltic to the Black Sea. On the main stage at the Forum 2000 conference in Prague, CEPA Vice President @Walker_CT, former Lithuanian President @Grybauskaite_LT, and @RKiesewetter of the German Bundestag examined why the transatlantic partnership remains essential to confronting it. The session, co-organized by CEPA and Forum 2000 and moderated by MEP @AlexandrVondra, looked at the price both sides would pay for drifting apart.

Europe brings regulatory standards, and the US brings innovation and capital. @kiana_aran explains why measuring biology, for health and for defense, needs both. Read the full report. https://t.co/Z9y4k1qamA
Every summit between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping has brought fresh promises of friendship. Every one also leaves Russia a little more dependent on China.
The partnership is asymmetrical but stable. Beijing helps Moscow adapt to sanctions, sustain a militarized economy, and replace lost Western markets, all while keeping its own freedom of maneuver. Together, the two regimes form a single meta-threat, and democracies need to treat it as one.
