@Addu_Ardu@itsKoech_@mulanda_boaz@nairobi_bae what intentions are you yapping?Did you just project your own bias on me?We can’t be wanting informed voters then not want voters to know what KK promised us. You have to be informed &weigh them objectively as an individual if they met your expectations and standards
@mulanda_boaz@Addu_Ardu@itsKoech_ The reason I asked him to check the page was for him to be informed on what KK promised us & objectively make his own decision if they met his standards and expectations. I don’t believe in rejecting something you aren’t informed of. I didn’t convince him on any stand or opinion.
@n_ndungu25607@astro_bram I don’t think everything that is expected of a government is the always a topic on the ballot. There are always some conversations that will be more loud than others depending on different interests and audiences. Sorry, I didn’t mean to come off as condescending
For a people who claim to want informed voters, a lot of your energy is going into controlling (not informing) voter behaviour.
This is exact what people tried to do with reject 2025.
“We will decide what information you will consume.” is straight out of the WSR playbook.
Ee mimi ni wazimu. Next question?!
Hata nyinyi (aspiring Rutos) hamtatucontrol hivyo mnataka. Kama hutaki kuskiza usiskize. Maskio yangu nitatumia vile nataka.
I can guarantee you that whoever your presidential candidate is he/she was listening.
Tuheshimiane please.
Stima kidogo ikipotea, " wanaiba minerals zetu" utadhani nchi inakuanga hadi na diamonds na kumbe ni chumvi tu ya five bob five bob imejaa pale Gongoni.
We need to start thinking about parties as institutions that can dictate down-ticket policy priorities.
Here is our manifesto and how implementation looks from presidential down to MCA levels.
Maybe then we will unlock political parties being more than just election matatus.
Part of the problem with conversations on this app is that people insert themselves in every narrative?
The man complaining about his babe picking yoghurt in a supermarket, I need to know his income and “is she aware of it?”before I can give an opinion.
It is not about me.
There is a lot of excitement(and rightly so) around Sifuna at the moment but if we are to convert it to real world tangible changes, there is a lot of work to be done.
1. What political power base does he have? Remember, he is NBO senator courtesy of ODM. Nobody voted for him just because they liked him for who he is. Now he is out of the party. Staking his fate on the ever jittery Nairobi voter for his political foundation would be political suicide tbh. Which leaves him with the ethnic option. The question is, can he consolidate the Luhya vote under one banner in less than 12 months?
2. Any political arrangement that he might enter will need him to come with his own party filled with his own lieutenants who can marshal votes from MCA level all the way to Governor in his ethnic base(think Riggy G with DCP, Ruto with URP/UDA, UK with TNA, Odinga with ODM, Kalonzo with Wiper etc). Does he have the resources and man power to put up such structures in the next 12 months? It took Rigathi just over an year to get DCP off the ground.
3. Assuming that he successfully maneuvers the first two hurdles, what will be his support base's irreducible minimums with the United Opposition considering that this is an untested political entity at the national level? Will the hardliners be willing to make compromises just to get Ruto out?
The man has his work cut out for him and the sooner he hits the ground running, the better.
Mistake yenu huwa in believing some fallacy that jaruos and their leaders are cut from a different cloth. They are Kenyans just like you. Raira was a Kenyan leader just like Moi/Kenyatta. Once you internalize that truth, you accept them for who they are not what you imagine them to be
@__NaitwaJeff1@SaginiJojez@Gitz__ It can if the idea of MPs having to resign when they change allegiance to different parties is removed and the parties switching from one coalition to another is confirmed by the registrar of political parties. Then majority of the house can easily switch midterm
