The Collegiate Fighting Game Community is deeply saddened by the passing of Evan "Natsu" Shaff, a freshman at Northwood University pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Esports Management.

Evan competed in the Spring 2026 season, representing Northwood University as a 2XK0 player and placing Division 1 Top 12 with his duo.

Our thoughts are with Evan's family, friends, teammates, coaches, and the entire Northwood University community during this difficult time. We extend our heartfelt condolences to all those whose lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Natsu.

Designed to develop the next generation of FGC broadcast talent from the ground up. Whether students have never held a mic or they've been commentating local brackets for years, this program give will give the mentorship, equipment, and stage time to grow into a confident, skilled voice for competitive fighting games.
