🚨📢SCAM ALERT!!!📢🚨
It has been brought to the Consulate's attention that fraudulent calls are being made to the public using cloned numbers of the Consulate.
Fraudsters try to entrap the public by informing them of problems with documentation related to their passport, Aadhar, and telephone number, which may have serious consequences.
Pretending to be officials of the Consulate, the scammers instruct individuals either to come to the Consulate or to join video conferencing with Indian authorities. There are fleecing tactics.
Please be aware that the Consulate never makes such calls. Please be aware of such fraudulent calls and inform the Consulate at [email protected] with the subject “Fraudulent Calls”
⚠️⚠️Be cautious and don’t fall into the trap of online cheating! ⚠️⚠️

Over the last 12 years, India has witnessed many transformations and at the core of these changes is the welfare of the poor and downtrodden. We have always been inspired by Antyodaya and our effort has always been to ensure that the benefits of development reach those who were left behind for decades. From Jan Dhan accounts and Direct Benefit Transfer to Swachh Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat and more, every initiative has been driven by a simple objective of ensuring people have dignity and opportunity.

It is also gladdening that technology has played a vital role in ensuring a better quality of life for the poor. Through Direct Benefit Transfer and digital platforms, support is reaching people directly and transparently. This has reduced leakages, improved efficiency and strengthened trust in governance. This is how the journey of furthering Garib Kalyan has become a collective movement towards human empowerment and realising our dream of a Viksit Bharat.

The Consulate General of India in Houston was pleased to participate in the 3rd edition of “Dharma in the Digital Age,” organized by the Dharma Civilization Foundation from June 5–7, 2026, at the University of Houston, Texas.
The three day conference brought together scholars, technologists, educators, and community leaders for a timely and meaningful dialogue on how Dharma can guide humanity in an era shaped by digital transformation.
During the concluding session on June 7, 2026, Consul General D.C. Manjunath

These converging voices, he observed, reflect a shared global awareness and a collective responsibility.
The Consulate General of India in Houston appreciates the Dharma Civilization Foundation for organizing this important event and commends all speakers for their insightful contributions.
