We have initiated this exercise to collect information in order to expedite CPV services. This would help to expedite processing of CPV applications at the earliest. In normal cases we would have processed your applications in time.

The VFS (the only outsourcing agent) and or the Consular Section of the Consulate General of India in Sydney may have not processed your application due to certain technical and administrative reasons as well as due to shortage of documents or incomplete application / any other reasons.
By way of helping each other to expedite the process, please send your details in the form (link above), only if it is beyond the prescribed processing time limit. For example (Average):
Fresh Passport - 8 weeks;
Reissue/renewal of Passport- 8 weeks;
Reissue of Passport (in lieu of lost or damaged passport)- 8 weeks to 16 weeks;
PCC- 4 weeks;
Surrender Certificate- 3 weeks;
Other passport related service- 4 weeks;

Processing times mentioned do not inlcude transit time by post/courier.

Please note, only after collection / scrutiny of documents, deduction of fee by VFS, the application dossier is sent to the Consulate in Sydney for further processing.

India–Australia Facilitation Centre (IAFC) Portal:

We take this opportunity to refer to the launch of the India–Australia Facilitation Centre (IAFC) during the ICSI 4th International Conference held in Sydney in 2025.

As it has progressed, the IAFC portal is now live, with a provision for registration by ICSI Members. Members have already started registering and showing keen interest in the initiative.

The portal aims to:

* Maintain a dedicated pool of professionals with expertise in both Indian and Australian jurisdictions;
* Display details of registered Company Secretaries; and
* Facilitate the sharing of relevant information with key stakeholders

The members can indicate their areas of specialization, including Corporate Governance, Secretarial Services, Compliance & Audit, Securities Laws, Corporate Restructuring, Arbitration & Mediation, IPR & International Trade, Insolvency, Valuation, and related domains.

The portal includes an Expression of Interest mechanism, enabling consenting professionals to share their details with relevant stakeholders in both countries, facilitating ease of doing business and trusted engagement.

Renewal of OCI Card is no longer required!

👉🏽 Have you obtained a new passport after attaining the age of 20 years?*
👉🏽 Or obtained a new passport after attaining the age of 50 years?
👉🏽 Or updated your personal particulars? (such as name, nationality, gender, etc.)

You no longer need to apply for a fresh OCI Card. Simply update your details ONLINE through the OCI Portal and download your updated e-OCI Card.

Here's the process:

1.) Visit the OCI Services Portal at https://t.co/1wqj5ASCip

2.) Log in, Click online registration, and then select OCI Miscellaneous Services

3.) Access your OCI profile by entering your:
🔸Passport number last linked to your OCI Card
🔸OCI Card number
🔸Date of Birth

4.) Select the required service:
🔸Passport Particulars Updation
🔸Personal Particulars Updation
🔸Address/Occupation Updation

5.) Complete the online application, upload the required documents and submit the application

6.) Your application will be processed online by the Indian Mission/FRRO

7.) Once your application is approved, your updated OCI Card details will appear on the dashboard. Click on the e-OCI Card tab to generate and download your updated e-OCI Card.

Important Notes:

* OCI Cardholders updating their passport particulars after obtaining a new passport on or after attaining the age of 20 years are required to mandatorily update their biometric details at the concerned Indian Mission/FRRO office or at an International Airport during the next international travel.

* Passport particulars must be updated within 90 days of issuance of a new passport. Ensure your application is submitted within 90 days to avoid a late penalty of US$25

Speaking ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Indian High Commissioner to Australia Nagesh Singh said the visit aims to strengthen India–Australia cooperation in sports beyond cricket.
