For the first time in history, the NCAA trophy and Stanley Cup will be hoisted on the same ice in the same year - T-Mobile Arena. .... 1972 NCAAs were in Boston, and Bruins won the Cup, but clinched at Madison Square Garden.
1991 NCAAs were in St. Paul. Cup was clinched in nearby Bloomington. 1974 NCAAs in Boston. Bruins lost Cup final, clincher in Philly.

@woodyVSworld @JBook_37 "The NCAA" is just the member schools making collective rules. So they are collectively in charge. They are either unwilling to enforce their rules, or judges shoot them down. So that's it.
Michigan alum Chad Kolarik is joining Minnesota State as an assistant coach, replacing Troy Ward. He's recently been an assistant coach in the AHL, and has coached in the U.S. National Program.
Names here track with what we've heard and don't include any of the far out options that have been tossed around. All 3 top notch assistants or good head coaches at smaller schools. Rassey a former assistant at Harvard as well.
Harvard Men's Hockey is down to three finalists for the Head Coaching position.

6 weeks later, everything here was part of a counter-proposal, and part of the NCAA's path to a rationale for accepting it.
Hockey commissioners successfully have gotten their counter-proposal to NCAA age rules, passed by NCAA cabinet. Details to follow. It will apply to all sports.
This means 5 year clock begins at time of enrollment, no later than 19. NCAAs plan would've started 5-year clock at expected HS graduation date.
