Before the end of 2026, youth in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be participating in local music devotionals, concerts and other in-person, Christ-centered music experiences to worship and celebrate their faith.
According to a letter sent to local units, “Youth benefit from feeling a sense of belonging and exercising faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Music is a powerful tool to invite those feelings and experiences.”
Youth music experiences should be centered on Christ, highlight the youth theme (“Walk with Me”), and emphasize the eternal truths from the newly updated “For the Strength of Youth: A Guide for Making Choices.”

Missionary work is soaring to new heights. We are days away from the opening of 55 new missions. This brings the total number of missions to 506. There is a total of over 87,000 full-time missionaries. And we are currently being reinforced by the first wave of 18-year-old sisters beginning their service.
In coming weeks, we will have the largest number of full-time missionaries in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
These missionaries’ first responsibility is to testify of Jesus Christ to a world that suffers without knowledge of His divine mission. They invite people across the globe to become part of His true and living Church.
I affirm my testimony of Jesus Christ and the truth of His gospel. The Holy Ghost has given me a witness of its truthfulness, and I rejoice that I can spend my life in proclaiming it.
Currently, 87,000 missionaries are serving around the world, but “in coming weeks, we will have the largest number of full-time missionaries in the Church’s history,” President Dallin H. Oaks (@OaksDallinH) told new mission leaders at a training seminar on Saturday, June 20.
“You are called to lead missionaries at an historic time,” the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said. “Missionary work is soaring to new heights.”
The increase is due to the first wave of 18-year-old sister missionaries beginning their service and to the addition of 55 new missions in July, bringing the total to 506. “What a group to lead,” he said.

“It’s clear to us that hunger is everywhere, in every community,” Sister Browning said. “This effort as a Church reflects our desire to follow the teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ, by lifting others and strengthening individuals, families and communities.”
A significant portion of the food will be distributed to those in need on Saturday in honor of #Juneteenth.
The Church has now delivered truckloads of food to all 50 U.S. states as part of its effort to commemorate the United States’ 250th anniversary. By year’s end, 250 truckloads of food will have been distributed nationwide, representing millions of meals. Half of those 250 truckloads have already been delivered.
