Joint Counter Terrorist Mock Exercise Conducted at CISF Unit ASG Delhi

A Joint Counter Terrorist Mock Exercise was conducted at CISF Unit Delhi Airport to assess coordinated response mechanisms and operational preparedness.

The exercise witnessed the active participation of CISF, Delhi Police, NSG, BDDS, DFS, DGCA, Medanta and other airport stakeholders and responded in a coordinated manner as per the prescribed contingency procedures. It strengthened inter-agency coordination, validated established security protocols and reinforced preparedness for swift and effective crisis management.

प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी के नेतृत्व में नशामुक्त भारत के संकल्प को साकार करने की दिशा में आज केंद्रीय गृह एवं सहकारिता मंत्री श्री अमित शाह जी ने नई दिल्ली में NCORD की 10वीं शीर्ष स्तरीय बैठक की अध्यक्षता की तथा नारकोटिक्स नियंत्रण हेतु वर्ष 2026-29 का विज़न डॉक्यूमेंट लॉन्च किया।

उन्होंने ड्रग विनष्टीकरण पखवाड़े का ई-शुभारंभ, NCB की वार्षिक रिपोर्ट का विमोचन तथा गुवाहाटी एवं जम्मू स्थित NCB के आंचलिक कार्यालयों का ई-लोकार्पण किया। इस पखवाड़े के तहत NCB की 21 क्षेत्रीय इकाइयों ने भाग लिया तथा 14 राज्यों एवं केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के साथ मिलकर कुल 5,74,500 किलोग्राम मादक पदार्थों का विनष्टीकरण किया, जिसका अनुमानित मूल्य ₹6000 करोड़ से अधिक है।

Shri S. R. Saravanan, IG, CISF APS-II HQrs Bengaluru, carried out the inspection of CISF ASG Coimbatore, reviewing airport security arrangements, operational preparedness and overall functioning of the unit.

The inspection was marked by a Guard of Honour, inspection of key operational areas and unit facilities, inauguration of the Sanrakshika Computer Centre and E-Library, a bilateral meeting with AAI officials, interaction with personnel during the Sainik Sammelan, and witnessing of a mock exercise to assess the unit's operational preparedness.

The IG appreciated the professionalism displayed by the personnel and emphasized continued vigilance, seamless coordination and operational excellence to ensure the highest standards of aviation security.

CISF Pays Heartfelt Tribute to CT/GD Raushan Kumar of ASG Mumbai

To honour the dedicated service and cherished memory of the departed soul, CISF officers and personnel assembled at Kalina Camp, ASG Mumbai for a solemn Shok Shastra-cum-Wreath Laying Ceremony. Thereafter, his mortal remains were escorted to Patna Airport, where CISF personnel paid floral tributes and final respects before being taken to his native place.

The entire CISF fraternity stands in solidarity with the bereaved family during this difficult time and prays for eternal peace to the departed soul.

CISF Port Security Training Portal: Standardizing Training, Enhancing Security, Safeguarding India's Maritime Gateways

Recently designated as a Recognized Security Organisation (RSO) under the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, CISF is strengthening the security framework of India's EXIM ports through security assessments, planning, training and capacity building.

Developed under CISF's ISO-certified RSO framework, the Port Security Training Portal is a technology-driven initiative that standardizes mandatory port security training through Aadhaar-based registration, digital training management, online assessments, DigiLocker-enabled certificates and real-time monitoring. More than 2,351 personnel from Government and Private Organisations have already been trained through CISF.

Port Security Training is currently being imparted at 13 designated locations across the country, including JNPA Sheva, MPA Mumbai, MPA Goa, Chennai Port, CPA Cochin and other major maritime gateways, building a standardized, skilled and future-ready port security ecosystem for the nation.

CISF Detects 420 Gms Suspected Contraband Substance During Random X-BIS Screening at Imphal Airport

Demonstrating exceptional alertness and vigilance, CISF personnel at Imphal Airport intercepted a passenger during a random X-BIS screening of baggage bound for Delhi. Upon thorough examination, detected a suspected cannabis (ganja) packet weighing approximately 420 grams concealed in the baggage.

Following due procedures, the baggage was opened in the presence of CISF (CIW Staff), Airport Police and AAI officials. The passenger, along with the suspected contraband, was handed over to Singjamei Police for further legal action.

CISF remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring safe and secure civil aviation by maintaining robust screening procedures and constant vigilance against unlawful activities.

Setting Global Benchmarks in Aviation Security Excellence✈️

CISF Unit ASG Delhi (IGI Airport) has been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification by DNV, reaffirming its commitment to delivering world-class security services across all terminals and operational areas of IGI Airport.

The certification was presented by Shri Navdeep Singh Heera, CSO, IGI Airport to Shri Babu Ram, IPS, DIG/CASO, in the presence of Shri Ravish Kumar Singh, Comdt, Shri Harish Kumar Sahu, Comdt and Shri Sugana Ram, Comdt.

CISF & Indian Maritime University Sign MoU to Strengthen Maritime Security and Capacity Building

The Central Industrial Security Force and the Indian Maritime University (IMU), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 22 June 2026 at the IMU HQrs, Chennai, Tamilnadu establishing a five-year framework for long-term collaboration in maritime security and capacity building.

The MoU will facilitate the conduct of Recognized Security Organization (RSO) Courses for CISF personnel while promoting cooperation in training, research, consultancy and developmental initiatives related to port and maritime security. The partnership is aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration, advancing professional excellence and enhancing domain expertise in the maritime security sector.

Marking the commencement of this strategic collaboration, the first batch of the RSO Course began on 22 June 2026 at IMU, laying the foundation for specialized training and knowledge sharing.

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening maritime security through professional training, capacity building and institutional cooperation.
