Make that FIVE goals now, a mark he reached in game 40 last season. #NHLJets

[Christian Aumell @CJOBchristian]

Cole Perfetti has four goals already this season, and we're not even through six games. By my count, it took him 36 games to get four goals last season. Playing on the top line (and being fully healthy) is paying off BIGTIME already! #NHLJets

Bit of a different view for today’s game, Calgary’s colour guy is sick so I’m filling in! Looking forward to this huge game with @Markonfootball. Stamps vs. Bombers, loser leaves town match!

[Christian Aumell @CJOBchristian]

The Jets look slow tonight. Burned in transition on all three Anaheim goals. #NHLJets

Yesterday marked 8 years since the CJOB Sports Show launched with me as the host. Very grateful that anyone chooses to listen, and grateful to be here at CLC to cover another season of Jets hockey on CJOB! #NHLJets

[Christian Aumell @CJOBchristian]

I’ve been calling for this for years, it’s about damn time!

[Winnipeg Jets @NHLJets]

The Winnipeg Jets, in conjunction with the @NHL, announced today that the statistical history of the Jets now will include both iterations of the franchise.

As a result, the Jets’ history now encompasses their first stint in Winnipeg (1979-96) as well as their years as the Atlanta Thrashers (1999-2011) and their seasons in Winnipeg since 2011-12.

A comeback win over your biggest rival AND it’s Scorigami?? Perfection. #skol

[Scorigami @ScorigamiGuy]

GB 22 - MIN 39

🚨 SCORIGAMI 🚨

That is the 1097th unique score in NFL history, and the 2nd of the 2026 season.

[Christian Aumell @CJOBchristian]

Awful loss for the #Bombers. You just cannot lose that game. Elks are a good team but wow. Another game scoring just one touchdown, that simply isn’t good enough.

[Winnipeg Sea Bears @wpgseabears]

How can you not be romantic about basketball.

In case you missed it, this is how the @wpgseabears championship-winning shot sounded on @680CJOB. Definitely a career highlight for me! (video courtesy CEBL/CBC)

The calm before the storm. All set to call the @CEBLeague championship on CJOB!

[Christian Aumell @CJOBchristian]

There it is! Of all the options I pondered I admit I did not consider this one. Saturday afternoon for all the marbles, 2:30pm tip off, 2pm pregame coverage begins on @680CJOB

🚨 CEBL Statement

Following the cancellation of Game 1 of the 2026 CEBL Finals due to condensation on the court in Brampton, the Canadian Elite Basketball League has confirmed that the Finals will be decided in a single championship game.

The Winnipeg Sea Bears and Brampton Honey Badgers will meet for the 2026 CEBL Championship on Saturday, August 15 at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, the previously scheduled date and host venue for Game 2. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m. CDT / 3:30 p.m. ET, with the game broadcast on CBC, TSN, TSN+, CBC Gem and CEBL+.

The decision was made by the League in consultation with both clubs. With the best-of-three series unable to be completed within the scheduled window, a one-game championship was determined to be the fairest and most practical path to crowning a champion. It also returns the Finals to the format used from 2019 through 2025, when the CEBL Champion was decided in a single Championship Game.

Additional ticketing details will be shared by the Winnipeg Sea Bears.

Fans who held tickets to Game 1 in Brampton will be refunded as previously announced.

The League will provide updates as necessary. Thank you for your understanding.

[Christian Aumell @CJOBchristian]

After 1:46 of game action, players were sent to their benches, then the locker rooms, and now there's no game 1! So what happens now? Game 1 tomorrow? Does Brampton have to forfeit? This is not a good look for the CEBL at all.

The decision was made in consultation with both clubs, game officials and venue staff. The safety of our players, officials and fans is the League's first priority.

All tickets for today's game will be refunded. Further information will follow.

[Derek Taylor🏈 @DTonOB]

I wish I'd brought this up on last night's CJOB Post-game show. But honestly it was 90 minutes of processing the shock of that game.

S/O to @DougBrown97 and @CJOBchristian for their fantastic performances last night.

[Christian Aumell @CJOBchristian]

Wowow what a brutal loss heading into the bye week for the Blue Bombers. Cowardly decision making, can’t score touchdowns, and you KNEW BC was going to run the ball and the Bombers couldn’t stop it. Worst loss since….?

[Christian Aumell @CJOBchristian]

Would have been cool to see #CANMNT go further but still, we got to see Canada play multiple knockout games at a men’s World Cup. That’s pretty cool.

[Christian Aumell @CJOBchristian]

Starting to think Nikolaj Ehlers made the right call by signing in Carolina…a champ in year 1! Sometimes the grass indeed IS greener. #StanleyCup
