We’ve just joined the fight against Sunak’s outrageous decision to allow oil drilling in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We’re supporting a legal challenge, led by SOS Biscathorpe - a fabulous group of people who’ve been campaigning since 2014 to protect the Wolds from this disaster of a project. Lincolnshire Council turned the project down but in a shocking turn of events, a government-appointed Planning Inspector has granted permission. Despite acknowledging the harm and the violation of local planning policies, the Inspector claimed that oil drilling was in the "public interest."

This decision, if allowed to stand, flies in the face of global efforts to combat climate change. In the words of the UN general secretary - drilling for more oil and gas now is moral and economic madness. And that’s the chosen path of this Conservative government under @RishiSunak.
