Shannon Ramsey-Chessman, CPA, CGFO was sworn in this morning as our office's Ad Interim Clerk by @15thCircuit Judge Bradley Harper. Ramsey-Chessman previously served as Chief of Staff, Chief Deputy Clerk, and Chief Information Officer for our office.

This morning, our office was notified that Clerk Mike Caruso was arrested on serious criminal charges. We are awaiting additional information from the Governor’s office on next steps.

While this is surprising news for our entire team, it does not change who we are at the Clerk’s office or our commitment to the community and customers we serve.

@arisisrad @pbclibrary Hi, a power issue at the County’s data center resulted in all of our systems going offline. We continue to work on bringing all systems back online but do not have an estimate on when our online services will be fully restored. We appreciate your patience!

Property owners who received a denial notice for property tax exemptions or an agricultural classification have until July 31, 2026, to file a petition with the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, Palm Beach County's Value Adjustment Board, contesting the denial.

She was the first woman elected as Clerk of Court in Palm Beach County in 1992. She also was the first woman to serve as mayor of Boca Raton, being elected in 1976, and served for six years on the Board of County Commissioners for District 4.

... upgrading technology and pushing to get our paper records online. We are keeping her family and friends in our thoughts, and remembering her significant impact on our community.”

Clerk Wilken passed away on Monday at age 90.
