The Government of Assam has received the Premier GeM Implementation Award for effective implementation of GeM across departments through process reforms and stakeholder engagement.

The Finance Department handed over the award to HCM Dr. @himantabiswa at Lok Sewa Bhawan today.

Assam’s GeM procurement has grown from ₹177 crore in 2021-22 to ₹2,659 crore in 2025-26, reflecting the State’s commitment to transparent, efficient and accountable governance.

Shri Arun Kumar Singh, Chairman & CEO, @ONGC_, called on HCM Dr. @himantabiswa to discuss targeted relief, rehabilitation and infrastructure restoration for flood-affected communities across Upper Assam.

During the meeting, ONGC committed ₹25 crore to aid Assam's recovery - ₹5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and ₹20 crore to rebuild 700+ damaged schools.

HCM appreciated ONGC's steadfast partnership and highlighted the need for swift, coordinated and people-centric interventions to restore critical infrastructure and support affected families.

A delegation of the Federation of All India Tea Traders Association (FAITTA), led by Chairman Shri Paras Desai, Executive Director, Wagh Bakri Tea Group, called upon HCM Dr. @himantabiswa.

I visited Bakul Dua under Charagua Panchayat in our Demow constituency today to assess the current situation caused by erosion along the Dichang River.
I directed the concerned officials to take immediate measures to control the erosion and protect the affected areas.

Historic Namdang is witnessing rapid progress in water drainage and the removal of silt and accumulated waste.

As per the directions of HCM Dr. @himantabiswa dangoriya, visited Namdang again today to inspect the ongoing drainage process and closely review the cleaning and restoration works.
