Delighted to attend the Commonwealth Sports Ministers Meeting (CSMM) in Glasgow. Had engaging discussions on shaping the future of sports across the Commonwealth.

During my intervention, I highlighted India's remarkable sporting transformation under the visionary leadership of PM Shri @narendramodi ji. I spoke about our robust governance reforms, strengthened anti-doping framework, and flagship initiatives such as Khelo India, Fit India, and the ASMITA League, which are nurturing grassroots talent, empowering greater participation of women in sports, and fostering a vibrant sporting culture across the nation.

Concluded by reaffirming India's readiness and Ahmedabad's world-class preparations to host the historic, sustainable, and memorable 2030 Centenary Commonwealth Games.

This week, we joined @ICwS_SAS at the Commonwealth Association of Law Reform Agencies Conference in Singapore for the Asia launch of our practitioner’s guide for decriminalising poverty and status.

We shared how the guide can help countries reform discriminatory laws that penalise people because of poverty or personal status.

A fairer multilateral order can only be achieved when small states help shape it.

Commonwealth small states bring unique leadership and lived experience to the defining challenges of our time – from climate and oceans to trade, debt and sustainable development.

This week, I was delighted to welcome the Rt Hon @HelenClarkNZ, former Prime Minister of New Zealand, alongside the Hon @BillBlair, High Commissioner of Canada to the UK, and HE Karen-Mae Hill, High Commissioner of Antigua and Barbuda to the UK, for an important conversation on the role of small states in an increasingly multipolar world.
