Former Air Canada pilot flew 17 years without a proper
license
He is accused of flying more than 900 flights over 16 years without the airline transport licence required to serve as a captain, according to Peel Regional Police.

Investigators allege he forged credentials after being promoted in 2009 and continued flying Boeing 767, 777 and 787 aircraft until retiring in 2025. He now faces fraud and forgery-related charges. Air Canada says passenger safety was never compromised.
