The Safford Ranger District will conduct pile burning on Mt. Graham from November 18th to the 21st, weather permitting.
Smoke may be visible in the surrounding areas.

The upper portion of State Highway 366 on MT. Graham, also known as the Swift Trail, will officially close to motor vehicles for the winter on November 15, 2024.
The temporary closure will remain in effect through April 15, 2025 and may be extended by winter weather and snow.

Project alert: better fishing access is coming to Riggs Flat Lake, courtesy of a project funded by the Great American Outdoors Act. Work will begin Tuesday, October 8, 2024, to install a large floating fishing dock where the deteriorated pier is currently located.
