Today, we’re proud to celebrate Jose Barrera and his son, Joe Barrera Jr., members of our Solid Waste Management team who work to help keep San Antonio clean and serve our community every day.
Jose serves as a Solid Waste Manager for cart collections, while Joe is a Solid Waste Route Supervisor for brush and bulky collection. Together, they represent the dedication, teamwork, and commitment that help keep San Antonio running strong.
Thank you to Jose, and all the incredible fathers across our city who make a difference both on the job and at home. We appreciate all that you do!

Celebrate Juneteenth Weekend at the Parman Branch Library at Stone Oak! 🌟
Although the library is closed on Juneteenth, we invite you to visit during the weekend that follows to experience a special art exhibit honoring the history, culture, and legacy of freedom celebrated on Juneteenth.
On display are works from the private collection of Dr. D.L. Grant and the Carver Branch Library. The exhibit offers a meaningful opportunity to explore stories, perspectives, and artistic expressions that reflect the significance of this important day.
