🌟 Instructional Empowerment in Action at Trailside Elementary! 🌟
Ms. Morabito’s class has led the way in instructional empowerment, setting the stage for the entire school! Her class has taken this approach to the next level, now at Instructional Empowerment 2-1. 🏫✨
As Ms. Morabito puts it:
“The main focus with Instructional Empowerment is having the student be the focal point of the learning.” 📚💡
The results are powerful—students are taking ownership of their learning journey! When they ask,
“Well, what do you think?” or “Can you explain that to me?” they’re not just learning from their teacher—they’re learning how to think critically and communicate their own ideas. 💬🔥
And for her student, Libbie, the difference is clear:
“I went to a different school before and we just worked by ourselves, I like working with my table group better than working by myself.” 👏
Through collaboration, dialogue, and self-driven learning, Ms. Morabito’s class is proving that Instructional Empowerment isn’t just a method—it’s a mindset that’s transforming the way students engage with their education. 🌱 #InstructionalEmpowerment #StudentDrivenLearning #WeAreCRCSD

🚨 📢 Pierce Elementary Heating Issue:
This morning, we encountered an unexpected issue with the building heating system at Pierce Elementary School. Please rest assured that all students are safe. Due to equipment failure over the weekend, the boiler malfunctioned, causing temperatures to rise throughout the building. When the issue was discovered this morning, our Operations Team quickly shut down the boiler, opened windows, and brought 20+ fans to help cool the building. Temperatures are dropping, but it will take some time for the building to fully cool.
We understand this may have caused concern, and we apologize for any discomfort this situation may have caused our students and staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue and maintain a comfortable learning environment for our students.
⏰ Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend! Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour before bed on Saturday night, November 2nd. Enjoy that extra hour of sleep and a little more light in the morning! ☀️💤
Also, take this time to check the batteries in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms to keep your home safe and sound.🔋 🚒
🎉 Happy National Principals Month! 🎉 A huge shoutout to the inspiring leaders who are at the heart of our school communities.
