@lippyent '68 SS Camaro - 396? What tabby did that come with? I know they loved that 2- speed power glide in that era, but not sure if the big blocks/SS models came with that.
@lippyent We always said that was the most realistic cop show when I was in NYPD. Guys hanging around the squad room, joking, drinking terrible coffee, getting low- level arrests, rarely getting into shootouts.
Compare this video to the Walther PPK from an earlier post. The difference is blowback vs recoil operated semi automatic pistols. With the recoil, the breech remains linked until the bullet exits the barrel.
This should be an interesting case to follow! For those who see CSI work as glamorous, wait until you have to sift through tons of dirt.
I dug up a field in SC for a high profile officer- involved shooting case. It was 106 degrees that day. Not fun or glamorous!

Sometimes a CT scan of a firearm can allow for operablility analysis without disassembling the firearm. In cases where a firearm is damaged, but still functional, disassembly can cause it to be non functional. My dear friend Ed Hueske was a pioneer in this area.
