@CSMVSmumbai and @Bihar_Museum jointly hosted a symposium titled “Thinking Nalanda'.
The symposium, held yesterday at Bihar Museum, Patna, featured a special address by Professor @Sachin_Chat, Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University, who reflected on Nalanda’s historical legacy and its contemporary relevance.
Professor Chaturvedi emphasised the need to reimagine knowledge traditions by moving beyond the fragmentation of modern academic disciplines and reviving the integrated intellectual spirit of ancient Nalanda University, where philosophy, economics, art, culture and geopolitics engaged in meaningful dialogue.
He also highlighted ongoing efforts at the university to revitalise traditional knowledge systems, including the development of a new library and initiatives to better understand classical knowledge methodologies, alongside community engagement programmes like Sahabhagita that reconnect the university with neighbouring villages and indigenous knowledge traditions.

It's a contact printing method where the sensitised paper is exposed to UV light, then developed, cleared, and often toned to achieve desired colors.

Mumbai, Maharashtra: CSMVS Senior Curatorial Assistant Swararaaj Datar says, "This program at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya is an exhibition about the exchanges and connections that existed within ancient India and its contemporary ancient cultures..."
The new @CSMVSmumbai galleries are a massive achievement and marks the beginning of a new age of really world class museums in India. Three cheers for Mr Mukherjee and his brilliant team!
Completely dazzled by Networks of the Past, a new gallery @CSMVSmumbai charting India's relationship with the ancient world. Its not just one of the best lit, best presented and best curated museum galleries in South Asia, it is also the best visual representation I have ever seen of the world I describe in The Golden Road...
