The second (Weekly Window) Wednesday in May is "National Third/Night Shift Workers Day," so here's a selection for those of you who are used to seeing windows lit from within. (It's also "World Facilities Management Day," so remember to clean your windows!)
How does the Weekly Window mark Earth Day? With windows made of recycled glassware, others celebrating trees in stained glass, a monarch in the window for the fragility of life, and beloved pets to remind us all living things depend on humans to make wise environmental choices.
The second (Weekly Window) Wednesday of April is the International Day of Pink, highlighting issues of bullying and discrimination. A good excuse for us to share windows framing some rosy hues! The last is especially appropriate, with Artemis currently heading home from the moon.
March has arrived - rather like a lion in Central Ohio! - and as we look forward to the verdancy of Spring, let's enjoy these windows framed (in one way or another) in the loveliness of green.
February 26 is "National Customized Wheel and Tire Day," for which we have a customized stained glass window, believe it or not; along with some round windows to keep things rolling.
Valentine's Day is Saturday, and these windows are totally giving us 'Beauty and the Beast' vibes. A tale as old as time, indeed! This is also your reminder to get your dinner reservations, flowers, chocolates, and greeting cards lined up for your significant others...
It's February... cold and grey and slushy, and even the air is visibly dirty today. Blech. Know, however, that we're here for you, and pleased to offer these sun-lit windows as a reprieve.
January 28 is "Library 'Shelfie' Day," and while Wendolyn is too camera shy to take selfies (and Winthrop too likely to break the camera), they note that the best libraries and bookstores come with large windows, the better to read by! @columbuslibrary@OSUlibrary@GHPL_United
Today is "World Logic Day," a holiday more fitting to Star Trek's planet Vulcan than our own. But let's pause to appreciate the cool, mathmatically derived beauty of these frosted window panes as Spock himself might; and so calmed, better face the emotional turmult on Earth.
January 7 is "Invisible Pain Day," something window cleaners feel when asked to clean glass embellished with artistic scaffolding or fins or shades. Like, what did we ever do to offend architects? I mean, yeah, we can clean it, but, dude...
Look closely at Jef Bourgeau's painting "New Year's Day" and you'll see a figure hidden among the trees; frankly, we'd rather experience the snow from a cozy bed! Best wishes for 2026 - here's hoping the sun shines in on our nation and the world, from top to bottom!
Whether you're patiently waiting for Santa like the cat below, or otherwise celebrating the winter holidays, Columbus Window Cleaning wishes you all the warmest greetings of the season.
"Cookies for Humans" is something our window cleaners are definitely in favor of, not only on December 4th (National Cookie Day), but all the other 364 days a year, too.
It's fair to say they're biased, but Wendolyn and Winthrop have always believed nothing makes a successful Thanksgiving dinner like a clean window with a great view... Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours from Columbus Window Cleaning!
