Chris and Charlie are back in the hot seat for another edition of the CWR Review & Preview Show, recapping a massive weekend headlined by Angel Capital claiming the G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes alongside Birdman winning the G1 Underwood Stakes!

The team also celebrated Autumn Glow taking out the G2 Seven Sunrise Stakes as well as Declichy Boulevard and Vanessi also finding the winner's circle.

Attention now turns to Rosehill Gardens for a huge G1 Golden Rose Stakes day. A five-horse assault headlines our charge in the feature with Campione D'italia, Tron Bolt, St Gotthard, Stormy Marco, and Central Europe. Across the Rosehill card, look out for Lazzura and Ahha Ahha in the G2 Golden Pendant, Omolong in the G3 Heritage Stakes, Kovalica in the G2 Shannon Stakes, plus many more.

Interstate, Beiwacht lines up in the G1 Manikato Stakes at Caulfield, while Diameter, Hidrix and Somethings Burnin’ feature in the G2 Stutt Stakes. The stable is also well-represented up north with runners at Toowoomba.

Geryon (Better Than Ready x New Wings 23G)

There’s a family connection with this name!

Geryon is named after a Greek mythological figure from the family of the famous winged horse, Pegasus.

In Greek mythology, Geryon is the son of Chrysaor, who was the twin brother of Pegasus.

At Chris Waller Racing & @StarTbreds, Chrysaor is a Group 2 winner of the Callander-Presnell Stakes — and Geryon is his full brother!

A pretty fitting family connection with these names!

Jokers Grin had a clear blood yesterday so we were able to gallop him this morning and he is completing his final piece of pacework this morning ahead of The Shorts on Saturday. He is progressing well, and we will continue to monitor him very closely.

Attention turns to Randwick for a massive day of feature racing. Autumn Glow is second up in the G2 Seven Sunrise Stakes alongside Aeliana, while Joliestar and Jokers Grin headline our squad in the G2 The Shorts. We've also got a promising group in the G2 Tea Rose Stakes led by Striking Alibi, Sequinned, Katoto, Sing Your Song & Sumac.

Down at Caulfield for Underwood Stakes Day, stable stars Buckaroo, Birdman, & Lindermann contest the G1 Underwood Stakes, while Angel Capital, Sun God, and Lady Shenandoah line up in the G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes.

Chris and Charlie are back after a big week, with Lindermann taking out the G2 Chelmsford Stakes and Matusalem saluting in the L. Wyong Cup in Chris' late father's colours. Sequinned and Sing Your Song also combined for a quick-fire double at Warwick Farm.

Attention turns to Rosehill and the G2 Run to the Rose on Saturday. Fireball and Tron Bolt both arrive as Group 1 winners, while the unbeaten St Gotthard, Switzerland's brother, steps out against the best for the first time. Militarize also resumes in the G2 Theo Marks. With plenty more runners to keep an eye on.

Down at Flemington, we have a strong hand in the G1 Makybe Diva Stakes, and the stable sends an array of runners north to Doomben.

It's been a big week on and off the track for Chris, Charlie and the team - Autumn Glow was named Racehorse of the Year, while Chris took out Champion Trainer. Beiwacht was dominant in the Memsie Stakes, and Mr. Miller now has the Epsom in his sights, while Althoff picked up a ratings mention after a strong effort.

On Saturday, we head to Randwick with Fangirl and Panova in the Tramway, Striking Alibi in the Furious, and Lindermann in the Chelmsford. At Sandown, Generosity heads into the Group 1 Moir, with Ivan's Hero and Asterix also on the card. Captain Maverick and Riez Souvent will step out at Eagle Farm.

Wyong on Friday has Matusalem and Elliptical chasing Big Dance eligibility in the Cup, and it's also Jersey Day, so wear your jersey and help raise awareness for organ donation in memory of Nathan Gremmo.
