The search for a missing 60-year-old hiker near Fallen Leaf Lake continues, with more than 100 search and rescue volunteers from 20 counties supporting the effort. Through California’s mutual aid system, Cal OES is coordinating resources and supporting the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office as crews work to locate the hiker as quickly and safely as possible.

Happening Now: A large-scale search and rescue operation is underway near Fallen Leaf Lake in El Dorado County for a hiker reported missing on Memorial Day. Cal OES is coordinating resources alongside the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, including more than 120 search-and-rescue volunteers from 20 counties, as efforts to locate the missing 60 year-old hiker continue.
