@_alch3m the point is that if you breathe as deeply as you can, you have more control over how much air you let out at a time and you feel more secure as well. it's like that exercise that swimming instructors like where you try to blow a hole into the water for as long as possible

@_alch3m ahh okay i see! i mean the principle is simple, like they're trying to bring the feeling of when you laugh wholeheartedly, or when you are breathing deeply while doing a proper squat to his singing. i would imagine it's similar to proper horseriding posture as well

but in all seriousness this surprised me because I've been admiring his sound so I thought he didn't struggle with this at all; at the same time I feel relieved because it goes to show we're all in the same boat learning this simple yet abstract concept of support/resonance

this is so funny because what he was learning in the lesson is exactly what I've been working on too (singers and woodwind players both use diaphragmatic breathing yadi yadi yada)
