CVE has received funding under the Faraday Battery Challenge. Our proposal, in collaboration with @Delta_Cosworth and @TWI_Ltd, will use the funding to design, build and test an electron beam welding machine for #battery busbar components.

CVE is currently part of a knowledge transfer partnership (#KTP) in collaboration with @CranfieldUni to further commercialise laser welding in vacuum (LiV) technology. (1/3)
The project started in 2021, with goals covering process and machine. The process side involves understanding the response of materials to different parameters, while the machine side involves solving the engineering problems preventing LiV welding’s industrial viability. (2/3)
