I am blown away by the passion & expertise at the incredible biannual 6th Global Adolescence and Young Adult Cancer Congress being held in Melbourne this week. There has been an amazing integration of patients, advocates, support workers, researchers and clinicians, many of whom are young people with lived experience as well as world experts. This integration and teamwork is absolutely superb and seems driven by deep passion at all levels. I would love to see and feel this deep integration with patients & advocacy groups where appropriate at more conferences. I was greatly honoured to present the keynote address. The federal Health Minister the Hon Mark Butler MP also spoke and had the opportunity to met so many incredible people working in this field and driving the way forward!
