@manishajha_ ha i may not be able to back this up, it’s more of a *feeling* — every time an food becomes trendy it shows up on their shelves immediately, especially if that food trend is something from an “ethnic” food culture, and the TJ’s version is always kind of a sad but usable ripoff

I just learned that jury duty compensation in King County is $10/day. Does that even cover transportation for most people? How can this guarantee any impoverished person a jury of their peers, if no one in their peer group can afford to serve?
