The windows & doors of this room were of different heights. To create visual consistency I hung woven-wood blinds at the same level throughout. The fabric panels at the patio door add softness to the room & the draperies can be drawn for privacy w/out blocking access to doors.

Color selection is all about context. You really can’t make the perfect choice without considering the other main elements in the space like furnishings, fabrics and floor finishes.

That said, I do have a “thing” for soothing, barely there blues and foggy horizon hues!
