I’m gonna simply say this: if you are at all interested in a Stargate show with ANY of the original creators/performers involved, now is the time to say something. Otherwise it really will be the end of that chapter forever. Let them know you are THERE
So, there's this thing going on with people wanting Destiny 3 and apparently wanting it so badly that there's a petition for it.
As a long time Destiny fan/player (Since Destiny 1 release), I don't want that.
At this point, I don't trust them to be able to do it justice.
There is this guy on youtube name GAKHED who films his cats with a 1999 camcorder and in this time of brainrot and toxic internet it's the most calming and soothing thing i've seen.
This is what spring felt like as a kid. ❤️
A lot of “remorse” from these ex developers, directors, execs, etc.
But at the same time, was no one in the studio blowing a whistle on this? Or was it just a case of “toxic positivity” like Concord?
It’d be interesting to see a similar “deep dive” into behind the scenes of developing like we did with ANTHEM.
To outsiders who don't pay much attention to the sheer fucking absurdity that is 2026 games journalism™, it might seem like people are overreacting to the Mixtape situation. Listen, I COMPLETELY understand if you feel that way.
But no, listen carefully. We've been saying for YEARS that game journalists are posers who despise this hobby. Mixtape is absolute proof of that.
This is a billionaire nepo project that is 3 hours long and that you don't even really "play." It was immediately astroturfed to fuck and back, called "one of the games of the generation," couldn't even bother to add a fail state or something known as "gameplay systems," includes the most quirk-ass possible millennial-hipster writing and teenagers tonguing, all presented alongside the lie that it's an "indie project."
There has never been a more direct example of everything wrong with games journalism, and that's saying a lot because they gave Veilguard a 9 out of 10 while games like Black Myth Wukong and Crimson Desert are 6's & 7's. "Mixtape" is being hailed as a masterpiece and given 10's across the board while its billionaire publisher lines their pockets with cute lootboxes filled with custom gadgets and CD players.
There is one reason, and one reason alone that they like it... and that's because it didn't "waste their time" by making them do something they loathe: playing a video game.
I feel like this is a damning sign of THE INDUSTRY that someone who literally lied about the contents of games for her arguments to make sense is offered paid consulting work, and people can't see it for what it is because she was briefly a main character in an Internet argument.
>Witcher show writers: "We dislike the games and books"
>Halo show writers: "We didn't look at the games, didn't talk about them"
Who keeps giving videogame adaptations to people who hate videogames ✌️😭
You guys remember when the devs and “fans” decided the Broodmothers were too upsetting and just removed them entirely?
In Dragon Age: Origins, they exist for a reason. Broodmothers are how darkspawn reproduce—women of different races are captured, force-fed tainted flesh, and turned into these horrific, bloated creatures that birth new darkspawn. Humans, elves, dwarves, even Qunari all produce different types—hurlocks, genlocks, shrieks, ogres.
And the game doesn’t just tell you—it shows you.
That entire Deep Roads sequence? The lead-up to Hespith, the tainted dwarf, reciting that poem as you go deeper:
“First day, they come and catch everyone…”
It’s slow, it’s unsettling, and it builds into the reveal of what Broodmothers actually are. It’s one of the most effective horror moments in the entire series because it forces you to understand what the taint does to people.
Darkspawn aren’t just enemies. They’re the end result of complete physical and psychological violation. That’s what makes them terrifying. That’s what makes the taint feel like an actual existential horror.
And now it’s just… darkspawn spawning from some vague pool in the ground?
You took one of the most disturbing, intentional pieces of worldbuilding—something that defined how monstrous the darkspawn are—and replaced it with something completely sanitized.
Misandrist, fatherless, hateful people out here thinking men are p*dos for even watching this 😭
Meanwhile it’s straight-up activating full dad mode in every guy watching. Hearts melting because they either want to be a dad… or just realized they do
This game was made for men, tapping straight into that drive to protect. The psychological idea behind it is actually really interesting—curious to see if the story holds up
It honestly makes me think of some of the interactions I’ve had as an uncle
It’s crazy how many people on here straight up HATE gaming and yet still want to be “involved” with the community so badly.
If you hate playing video games and think its a “waste of time” then you are NOT a gamer, no matter how many cutscene compilations you watch.
