I have a love-hate relationship with National Geographic nature documentaries. I love seeing the animals, especially their little ones. A baby elephant, a young giraffe, or a lion cub can stop me in my tracks. My mind turns to the magnificence of God in fashioning such creatures. The wonder of it takes my breath away.
That’s the love part. The part I hate is hearing His creation described without giving Him an ounce of glory. They speak as though all this beauty and complexity came about by chance. Romans 1:21 describes it: “they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful.” The verse goes on to say that their thoughts became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.
May God open their eyes to see His glory in what He has made.
