The National Inpatient Experience Survey invites people who have spent more than 24 hours in a public hospital in May to provide feedback on their experience of care. Watch this video to learn more about the survey.

Compared to 2020, the 2025 National Maternity Experience Survey showed progress in areas like involvement in care decisions, opportunities to ask questions about the birth and emotional support from healthcare professionals when babies were in the neonatal unit.
However, some areas saw a decline since 2020, including several aspects of postnatal care, such as feeding support at home and communication with GPs and public health nurses.
