@SlibTheSlime@PCFXFanClub Both PC-98s in the museum have the full original Touhou library along with a list of other games to choose from. Hit the reset button on the PC to get back to the game selection menu.
@leonkiriliuk@FedEx@digikey FedEx did me the favor of delivering my most recent Digikey order to a random house on my road. They clearly knew I wanted to play "Guess the Porch" based on their "delivery confirmation" photo.
@tankbearclaw For me the division is based on how much money is expected to be spent.
Anything that is dependent on real-money loot boxes/character draws should be regulated as gambling.
If the game requires a reasonably priced subscription and/or only offers paid cosmetics, that’s fine.
@rikoDLC Even as a kid I thought that SA1 was horrible. SA2 was an incredible improvement, except that you not only have to play as Knuckles, but also Knuckles-with-boobs.
@_ramapcsx2@leonkiriliuk Not quite. OPL3 is YMF-262. This card is based around the YMF-288, aka OPN3. It is a somewhat stripped down successor to the YM2608B OPNA and is compatible for FM sound.
@_ramapcsx2@leonkiriliuk Yes, mostly.
Almost all games I've tested work great. To name some popular games, Rusty and Touhou 1-5 work perfectly.
Eve Burst Error on the other hand needs to fall back to 2203 compatible sound or else there will be no percussion sounds. Drums, etc.
@leonkiriliuk Also, for a final setup, I don't recommend using DuPont connectors for the speaker as shown here. It's too tall and would conflict with other C-Bus cards.
@leonkiriliuk Aw man! I knew I should have fixed the speaker in place before I posted that. Now my sloppy test setup is everywhere lol
There's a grid of holes underneath to let the sound through. I also left enough clearance to allow for a variety of speaker options.
@Potterzilla The crazy thing is that Nokia weren't even the only ones to advertise like this. They were just way too late to the party. Videogame ads were all wild in the 90s.
@tankbearclaw In what world does Dead Space have a cult following? I’ve never even played it but I was very aware of its existence when it launched.
On the other hand, “Immortals of Aveum” is such a bland title, I can’t even be bothered to Google it. This is also my first time hearing of it.
@tankbearclaw To clarify, it’s justified when a game specifically requires multiplayer gameplay, though I prefer a peer-to-peer model. I just hate the idea of paying full price for a game that could be shut down a month later due to low interest.
@neonDamon@sonyayori It actually had all five of the original Touhou games and some others loaded on it. There was a game select menu if you rebooted it.
