Stop trying to squeeze all human movement into the word “immigration”.
It’s mobility. And it matters.
The danger now is that Britain spends years negotiating a slightly less damaging Brexit.
A Customs Union would be an improvement. But Britain needs far more.
Freedom of Movement of goods, services, people and capital should be the minimum ambition.

This is the biggest lie you’ve been told.
You’re told the West is falling apart because of migrants and minorities.
But who closed the factories? Crashed the banks? Launched the wars?
Here’s what really happened.

it is clear MPs and MEPs across the UK and Europe want to see change and this is a quick win for Andy B”.
@andyburnham One way to unite the young with employers is to get rid of the flipping middle men. The so called employment agencies, that stifle any chance a youngster has of even getting to interview stage.
@andyburnham Next month can you start with bringing the water companies back into public ownership, then crack down on tax avoidance corporations, oh and take us back into Europe!

1 in 10 concert-goers bought a fake ticket in the last year.
Ticket fraud cost music fans an estimated £150 million over 12 months, with scammers targeting people searching online for last-minute tickets.
Stop, think and only buy tickets from official ticketing websites.
@data_barbs When we had put print business, we had a canon 44” wide printer, it was great, it used 6 tanks for the ink, @ £56 each. When you turned it on or every few hours, it would ‘wash through’ the inkjets, I would sit there watching it use up nearly £20 every time!!!
This is not very nice, used surgical gloves blowing about on a public footpath. @careuk are you going to sort this out?
Mount Pleasant care home. I think the skip may need emptying.
Hi @andyburnham I spoke today to a friend whose father had Alzheimer’s. He told me that last year the council was paying around £900 a week for carers to visit four times a day, providing a combined total of about two hours of care per day.
That works out at approximately £64 per hour of delivered care to the agency.
While many care workers providing the actual visits are paid around £16 per hour.
For comparison, an experienced NHS Band 6 nurse earns around £20 per hour.
Why are taxpayers paying such high rates to private care providers when the frontline workers themselves receive a much smaller proportion of the cost?
Would a publicly provided model, with qualified nurses and care workers employed directly by the NHS or local authorities, provide better value and more consistent support, rather than relying on care agencies that often deliver short, offer fragmented visits, charge a fortune, and make extortionate profits?
