Cartesi is sharpening its mission to help build Ethereum’s future with a clear commitment to lasting infrastructure. This is subtraction in action, driving greater focus, deeper engineering, and long-term value for future-proof scalability and execution.↓

DeFi has been doing simplifications this whole time.
Black-Scholes, Monte Carlo, logistic regression. All to fit a gas budget.
I broke it down for a kid, an engineering student, and a PhD. Three Levels Deep on what @cartesiproject changes for DeFi.
Which level was yours?
10. Production software needs production-grade testing.
Linux gives developers mature debuggers, profilers, CI pipelines, fuzzers, and testing frameworks that simply don't exist at the same level in smart contract environments.
The infrastructure exists. Now it's onchain too.
9. AI codes best where software already exists.
Modern AI is strongest in ecosystems with decades of code, documentation, and examples. Linux is that ecosystem and the largest codebase. Building onchain with Linux gives developers both the software and the AI trained on it.
Last call. Last merch packs. The survey we dropped in the newsletter is still open.
If you haven't filled it out yet, now's your chance. 10 questions, about 2 minutes, make your voice heard and claim your swag before they're gone.

Another Friday means another Cartesi Weekly. Here's what happened across the ecosystem this week 🐧
Our Dev Advocacy Lead @joaopdgarcia shipped another video from the Three Levels Deep series, explaining concepts to a kid, an engineering student, and a PhD. This time he broke down app-specific rollups, congestion, and gas fees at three levels. This is one of the cleaner ways to see why dedicated compute lanes matter. Watch it here:

ICYMI, the previous one explained Cartesi's execution environment:

Our cofounder @erickdemoura wrote something worth slowing down for. Infrastructure does not create its own civilization. But autonomous agents operating at machine speed, in adversarial environments without human oversight, may be the actors who actually need trustlessness, composability, and verifiable computation as load-bearing properties. Maybe the world computer was not just early. Read this reflection for yourself and share your thoughts:

Cartesi's technical milestones are logged in @l2beat monthly recaps. L2Beat is the go-to reference for onchain transparency across the L2 ecosystem and beyond. Keep tabs on it:

Building on Cartesi or just exploring the stack? The docs have quickstarts, deep dives on Rollups, the Cartesi Machine, and fraud proofs. Helpful resources to go from idea to shipping applications on Cartesi:

We shared a reminder this week: every contribution counts. Building, researching, testing, creating content, or asking thoughtful questions. Open-source software is built together. So is Cartesi:

Finally, Cartesi has now joined TikTok. The new channel is live, content coming soon. Be among the first to follow along:

What if your app never had to compete for space on the same road as everyone else?
I broke down what's an app-specific rollup for a 10-year-old, an engineering student, and a PhD.
Three Levels Deep on congestion, gas fees, and how @cartesiproject fixes it. Which level clicked?
If you're building on Cartesi or just exploring, the docs are one of the best places to start: quickstarts, deep dives on Rollups, the Cartesi Machine, and fraud proofs.
Everything you need to go from idea to shipping using mainstream tools.
