@mcuban@AbdulElSayed I pay 500/mo for the cheapest/worst available HMO plan: I already have few/no choices for providers (especially with specialists).
An affordable lack of choices would be a huge improvement. Wealthy patients are always going to have better options—that’s fine.
What do the leading Democratic candidates for governor of CA think are ways to address housing affordability and homelessness as top issues for the state? We were thrilled to co-host a lively & illuminating forum, skillfully moderated by Ezra Klein:

I’m open minded on Katie Wilson: maybe she will rock. Maybe she will struggle.
But mainstream Seattle media tripping over themselves to do hit pieces on random bullshit is RIDICULOUS. Cut it out.
A post on Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson’s X account over the weekend is drawing criticism from some political analysts. It shows the mayor at an anti-ICE rally posing for a photo with two people, one of whom was holding a sign with a small sticker in the corner that said, “Nazis own flammable cars.”
The mayor’s office responded to questions about the post Monday.

I cut the chord to Spotify. What Spotify pays the artists is terrible, the algorithm narrows choice and caters to corporate hidden interests. So happy to jump to Qobuz.
Who gives a fuck..
The real question for Huang or any of the other tech lords sitting in that seat are.
1. How does the American Worker benefit from the extreme wealth this tech speculation is creating?
2. How many data centers need to be built to accommodate the seeming never ending compute demands of the AI boom. Does Nvidia care where they will be built and about the power demand? (He talked about little about that on Rogan)
3. What’s the plan for those data centers and the accompanying power infrastructure if/when the Ai bubble bursts?
4. Is Nvidia at the center of a circular tech economy that is artificially enriching the mag 7 companies to give the illusion of financial solvency so that investment continues to pour in?
5. How long do your GPUs last, how long are they supposed to last, and what’s an acceptable industry standard of depreciation, or is there one?
I grew up so poor I shared a single bedroom with four siblings. Anyways, here’s me playing an instrument that I took time to learn years later than I wanted to, because I had to work and save money and do things the hard way. Fuck AI, we won’t let you destroy the human spirit
Spotify is supplementing playlists with "ghost artists" as a means of decreasing the amount of royalties it pays out, according to a detailed new report from Harper's Magazine → https://t.co/3vnenA5nXx

@TVietor08 Artists opt into lower royalty rates in exchange for increased algorithmic plays. Not a secret, openly acknowledged by Spotify. Here’s the “Payola is for YOU!” page on their site:

How Spotify is slowly working to destroy curiosity and limit choices. Its algorithms are classic examples of "enshittification," putting the interests of the corporation above the listener. Its motto might as well be: don't explore, submit. https://t.co/5LG1a16amv
That’s lost in all the “he’s a good man who’s past his prime…” talk. The decision to stay in right now doesn’t speak well of his character and judgement.
Forget the game theory. Trump would be disastrous. We need a viable alternative ASAP.
Ok, Biden. The problem is that asking this particular 81 year old man to be president for four more years is a fundamentally bad idea. And his decision to stay in the race was *AT BEST* based on irresponsible and egotistical optimism regarding his own longevity.
.@SeattlePD I just called to report two people tagging my neighbor’s business with spray painted graffiti and the operator said you will only respond if it’s public property. Is destruction of private property not a crime in Seattle? Give me a break @MayorofSeattle
