The jury has been seated in OH v. Andrew Griffin. We will livestream this trial on YouTube starting Monday at 8:30 am and broadcast on Court TV. Following the opening statements, the jury will go on a view.

NEW TRIAL: Opening statements Monday morning in OH v. Andrew Griffin. Griffin is accused of the 2021 murders of his Salsa Joe's Restaurant business partner, Thomas Strussion, and his wife, Angela. They were found shot in their home; the home was set on fire, ultimately killing their dogs as well.

Jason Pickard, the father of Sandra Birchmore's unborn child, is on the stand. He's testifying that Sandra told him Matthew Farwell was the father.

When Sandra texted Pickard she was pregnant he wrote:
Congratulations ?
Birchmore told Pickard repeatedly that he was not the father
"She indicated that Matt was the father."

"She was ecstatic," about being pregnant, "filled with joy. She wouldn't stop talking about it," Pickard testified

Farwell, Pickard said Birchmore told him, went "back and forth" between anger and excitement.

Jason Pickard has been given immunity by the DOJ, and via an order from Chief Judge Denise J. Casper, compelling his testimony at the Matthew Farwell and Sandra Birchmore trial on Thursday.

Oh my word.

This is the first confirmed immunity in the case!

1. When transporting an individual to the hospital in a vehicle other than emergency vehicles and after rendering first aid, would that be considered "necessary medical care"?

2. What constitutes "care"?  What constitutes "necessary medical care"?
