The Netherlands will continue to stand up for the @IntlCrimCourt. As host state and as a signatory to the ICC’s Rome Statute, we will continue to do everything in our power to ensure that the Court can function effectively.
A stronger Europe requires a modern, affordable EU budget. The Netherlands can’t accept the current proposal. We need sharper choices to invest in Europe’s security, competitiveness and independence. Without more ambition, an agreement remains out of reach.

To sanction those working for accountability is contrary to the very idea of justice beyond power. I stand with Judge Tomoko Akane and Mr Abdoulaye Seye, and with the independence of the @IntlCrimCourt .
