@jodimullen Yeah I enjoyed a bit of doom scrolling - but it was about 1/3 funny, 1/3 people I actually follow and 1/3 doom. Now it’s 80% manufactured doom, 10% OMG AI and 10% adverts for things completely removed from the thread content.
Wow my ‘for you’ on Twitter is 90% conflict and most seems to be manufactured by tribes whose objective seems to be to have a fight. Switching to the the ‘following’ tab. Far less entertaining but at least I don’t feel like I am being warped.
@ClaireSweeney71 @ThePromiseScot@NHS_Education@mcrpathways @NACWGScot Good stuff! Well we are working on person owned records for people with an experience of care. As part of a project the Promise team are helping to steer. I remember you liking what we showed you around that in our last meeting so just connecting some dots!
Amazing that Truss and Kwarteng cost us £74bn (enough to pay every NHS worker for 2 years), and caused mortgage payments to more than double.
But it seems to have been forgotten about.
@Judemccorry @LornaAJackson@LouiseScottITV@itvnews So yeah it’s a bit nerdy - but there is extensive evidence and analysis of health systems that shows that on balance individual choices to go private ultimately harm the whole population outcomes.
@Judemccorry @LornaAJackson@LouiseScottITV@itvnews This is how the US pays 50-80% more per head as a proportion of GDP than universal healthcare systems. And their population health outcomes are no better. (Only the very wealthy, who can afford massive insurance / bills when they have complex needs do well).
The NHS is completely BROKEN
It WASNT broken by COVID/Ukraine/inflation(*delete excuse)
It was broken by deliberate CHOICES to break it
RT if you want this/next government to make CHOICES to properly fund the NHS, reward its staff & provide better healthcare for UK population
The con is to believe the tax-based NHS system is somehow broken and that a new way of paying for healthcare will fix it. There is no cheaper way. Nothing the govt has planned costs less. The public always pay for healthcare.
Let me explain…
