1/ Yes the globally wealthy have outsized emissions, and yes that’s a massive problem

But it’s actually only a small part of their devastating influence on the conditions that support life

12/ But while oligarchs are obviously a corrupting influence, the top 1% globally wealthy isn't billionaires - it's most comfortable middle-class homeowners in the USA & UK

Thankfully, their impacts don't stem from their money

5/ This is the last government with the chance to make the required changes in time to meet our climate goals, but progress is far too slow

We cannot miss this political opportunity, and MPs MUST be allowed to vote freely on this, the most critical of all issues

1/ On 24th January the Climate and Nature Bill will be read in Parliament but – outrageously – @UKLabour may not allow its MPs a free vote

It’s no exaggeration to say the fate of the world depends on urgent political action, so this is no time to be playing party politics
