I'm joining @RocketMoneyApp as the VP of AI Engineering!
Most of the Plumb team is joining too. 🥳
I can't wait to bring our production AI systems experience to a product already making a real difference. ✨🤘
bought a tiny mic I could yap into that's a bit more chill
mapped the btn input to cmd+f13 in Codex (via karabiner)
now I have system wide audio transcription with a button click
plus I can get up and pace
Spending a bit of today writing an update to my personal board of directors.
Everyone should have an advisory group of people they can seek guidance and express gratitude for the support they’ve provided.
@davidhoang How did you build your board of directors?
I feel like I wouldn't even know where to start or what I give them that makes it worth their time.
The worst part is I would do it for free for others and imagine the same is true of most everyone I know, so maybe it's a me problem.
Walking into the gym today, an older Japanese man and I made eye contact in passing and he said "konnichiwa".
I said "good morning" and felt like an idiot because I didn't know if it was respectful respond other than to say "konnichiwa" back.
I imagine responding konnichiwa is culturally acceptable still? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If you think Inspect is just an engineering tool, you’re selling it short. It’s changed my PM workflow in 3 major ways:
1. Design partner, not just a coding tool - I prototype straight from the UI and run a design-critique skill which surfaces existing patterns from elsewhere in the product. Saves me a lot of time researching flows and ensures I match our design system instead of reinventing each time.
2. Deep analysis across deep context - Inspect has multiple connectors to our sales calls, SQL DBs, support tickets, Slack threads. I can deep dive into any question and it’ll stitch together context and build a comprehensive analysis that goes beyond the obvious. Recently, I was investigating a conversion drop. Inspect compared the support tickets, dashboard metrics, sales calls, and cross referenced the data by watching user sessions. It quickly diagnosed the root cause was because of an integration issue rather than the feature itself.
3. Insight→Ship in minutes - with 1 & 2, I can diagnose the problem, prototype the fix, design it, and kick off sub-agents to push the PRs with one system. There’s less context-switching tax.
The new track from @polyphia is such a banger and I think they've got me hooked on a new genre: dance-djent.
Can't wait for more music like this.

Notion AI usage is compounding. Daily MCP calls are exploding (chart below 📈) and make up almost 1/3 of all our search traffic. Agent usage is almost quadruple our initial goals for the quarter.
To keep up, we're hiring a wave of leaders.
