I really still haven’t heard a good explanation for why Flock cameras are bad. Basically responses are:

- George III might use the cameras for evil.
- The police might get an erroneous alert and question you for five minutes before realizing their mistake.
- George Orwell said Flock cameras are bad.
- I misread a Benjamin Franklin quote that sounded tuff even though it really wasn’t related.
- The cameras don’t even really do anything even though they are also extremely evil and dangerous.

With over 20% of Minnesota Democrat primary voters choosing a candidate who wasn't the top 2, I can only wonder how a ranked choice ballot would have gone, and how many rounds it would have taken to get a winner over 50%.

As an outside the party observer, it makes me just wonder how a different voting system might potentially change the outcome.

Imagine if police had the Flock cameras when states were locked down in 2020.

Imagine how they would be used to track people and punish them for doing things like going to church or going to the beach.

This is not a left vs right issue. Its a wrong vs right issue and we all need to oppose these unconstitutional invasions of privacy.

We have both a constitutionally protected right to bear arms and privacy.

Me owning a gun doesnt violate those constitutionally protected rights, but police having a camera that tracks and documents the movement and behavior of people without any judicial oversight or warrant does violate those rights.

I feel the same way about Atlanta.
Most of its critics have never lived in Atlanta.

Is it perfect? No place is but its amazing. The people, the trees and parks, the food, the culture and fun, its amazing.

Do I like the government in Atlanta? Hell No! We are an awesome city in spite of the government.

I love my city and won't accept trash talk.

Also, we have by far the best airport in the country. Its gigantic and easy to navigate and I love it.

I owe Chicago an apology. 🥹

I came here expecting the version of the city I’ve heard about for years: dirty, dangerous, dysfunctional, and hopelessly corrupt.

Instead? It’s beautiful.

The architecture is stunning. The streets have been surprisingly clean. The food is incredible. The neighborhoods have character. And Lake Michigan provides a breathtaking backdrop that almost makes you forget you’re in the middle of one of America’s largest cities.

And experiencing it with Free, who grew up here, has given me an entirely different perspective.

Now, am I suddenly endorsing Chicago politics? 😂 Of course not.

But here’s where my libertarianism might irritate people on BOTH sides:

Chicago should be allowed to govern Chicago.

If the people of a community choose policies I wouldn’t choose for mine, that’s a far better arrangement than imposing one political vision on 330 million people from Washington, D.C.

Decentralization means accepting that different communities will make different choices.

And beneath all the politics are actual human beings…families, churches, businesses, neighborhoods, artists, cooks, builders…creating something bigger than government ever could.

A city is more than its politicians.
